The best time depends on the season, your location, and your group's schedule. During the warmer months, we typically recommend morning sessions, especially for beach yoga, to help avoid the midday heat and traffic. Wedding groups often enjoy a calming morning session before the festivities, while bachelorette groups frequently schedule yoga before brunch or beach time.
We also love a good sunrise or sunset session. Sunrise yoga offers a peaceful start to the day, while sunset sessions provide a beautiful opportunity to unwind and enjoy Charleston's natural beauty.

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for spring and fall weekends, which tend to fill quickly. Charleston is a popular destination for weddings, bachelorette parties, family vacations, and special events, and prime dates can book several months in advance.

Charleston weather can change quickly, and we monitor conditions closely leading up to your session. If weather becomes a concern, we'll communicate with you and discuss available options, which may include adjusting the location, modifying the schedule, moving to a covered area, or utilizing a suitable indoor space when available.
Our goal is to create the best experience possible for your group and bring the zen wherever we land. With a little flexibility and creativity, we can usually find a solution that keeps the fun and relaxation flowing.

Pricing and Payments
-
Community Beach Yoga Classes
Our weekly Charleston beach yoga classes are community-based classes designed to be welcoming, accessible, and affordable for both locals and visitors.
While there is no required fee, we typically suggest a contribution of $10–$20 per person. These contributions help support our experienced instructors and allow us to continue offering high-quality outdoor yoga experiences throughout the Charleston area.
Whether you're joining us for your first class or have practiced yoga for years, you'll find supportive teachers, a welcoming community, and a beautiful setting to move, breathe, and connect.
Private Yoga Sessions
Because every private yoga session is unique, pricing varies based on factors such as group size, location, duration, and any requested add-ons.
We offer private yoga experiences for bachelorette parties, wedding weekends, family vacations, corporate groups, retreats, and special events throughout Charleston, including Folly Beach, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, Kiawah Island, Seabrook Island, local parks, vacation rentals, and private homes.
For current pricing and availability, please contact us and we'll be happy to help create the perfect experience for your group.

We love cash, but we also accept Venmo and Zelle for our community beach yoga classes.

Private Yoga Sessions
For private yoga sessions, we accept Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Apple Pay, cash, and other payment methods when arranged in advance.
Private session deposits and balances are typically paid electronically, making it easy for groups to secure their reservation and complete payment before their Charleston yoga experience.

Our community beach yoga classes operate on a community-based contribution model. We believe yoga should be welcoming and accessible while also honoring the time, experience, and dedication of our instructors.
While there is no required fee, we typically recommend a contribution of $10–$20 per person for our community classes.
Private yoga sessions, bachelorette parties, wedding weekends, family gatherings, corporate events, and other private group experiences are priced separately. Please contact us for current pricing and package information.
Preparation for Class
-
Open Classes
We do not provide mats/towels for our open classes.
Mats can be tricky on the sand, so we recommend using a super-size beach towel, or both a large towel and your mat for added stability, especially on soft sand.
Tapestries, Mexican blankets, or a sheet can also work. Avoid using a black mat in the summer, as it can get very hot.
Private Groups
We know you'll want that extra suitcase space for fun shoes of course! We don’t expect you to bring your own yoga mats to Charleston!
If you are doing your session at the beach, we offer perfectly sized, $5 beach yoga towel rentals.
If your session is at a park or inside, we offer $5 yoga mat rentals.
-
It really depends on the time of year, the location, and what you feel most comfortable in.
Summer
For Charleston beach yoga and outdoor yoga sessions, we recommend light, breathable clothing such as shorts, lightweight yoga pants, tank tops, bathing suits, or cover-ups. Whatever allows you to move comfortably is perfect. Lighter colors are often more comfortable during the warmer months, as dark clothing tends to absorb more heat.
Cooler Weather
It's all about the layers. Beaches such as Folly Beach, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, Kiawah Island, and Seabrook Island are often cooler and breezier than inland locations.
Light jackets, hoodies, beanies, and cozy socks are always a good idea. After all, nobody wants cold tootsies during savasana!
If you're unsure what to wear, feel free to reach out. We're always happy to help based on the season, weather, and location of your session.
Locations
-
Our community yoga classes are held at select outdoor locations throughout the Charleston area. Current class locations may include Folly Beach, Charleston Harbor Resort, Breach Inlet near Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island, and other seasonal locations. Visit our class schedule for the most up-to-date information.
-
The best location depends on your group, where you're staying, the experience you're looking for, and the time of year.
Folly Beach is a great choice for groups looking for a classic Charleston beach yoga experience with wide open beaches and beautiful ocean views and fun restaurants. Sullivan's Island offers a more laid-back atmosphere, while Isle of Palms tends to have a livelier beach scene, similar to Folly. Both Sullivan's and IOP are excellent options for groups staying in Mount Pleasant and North Charleston.
Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island are wonderful choices for those seeking a quieter, more secluded setting. Because these are private island communities, participants must be staying on the island or have access through a property owner or resort reservation for us to teach there.
We also offer yoga in local parks, at vacation rentals, private homes, resorts, and special event venues throughout the Charleston area.
One of our favorite parts of the planning process is helping groups choose the location that best fits their needs. We'll happily provide recommendations based on your group size, accommodations, schedule, and the experience you'd like to create.
-
Absolutely. One of the benefits of a private yoga session is that we can often come directly to you.
We regularly teach at vacation rentals, beach houses, private homes, resorts, parks, wedding venues, and beaches throughout the Charleston area, including Folly Beach, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, Kiawah Island, and Seabrook Island.
If you already have a location in mind, we'll do our best to accommodate your request. If you're unsure where to practice, we're happy to provide recommendations based on your group size, where you're staying, accessibility, parking, weather conditions, and the type of experience you'd like to create.
Our goal is to make the planning process easy and create the best possible yoga experience for your group.
-
Yes! While beach yoga is one of our most popular offerings, we also teach private yoga sessions in parks throughout the Charleston area.
Park yoga can be a wonderful option for groups staying downtown, those looking for more shade during warmer months, or anyone seeking a peaceful outdoor setting away from the beach.
We regularly help groups choose the best location based on where they're staying, the size of the group, accessibility needs, weather conditions, and the overall experience they're hoping to create.
In addition to parks, we also offer yoga at beaches, vacation rentals, private homes, resorts, wedding venues, and special event locations throughout Charleston.
-
Absolutely. In fact, many of our private yoga sessions take place at vacation rentals, beach houses, private homes, and resorts throughout the Charleston area.
Practicing at your rental allows your group to enjoy a convenient and relaxed experience without having to coordinate transportation or travel to another location. It's also a great option for those who want to roll out of bed and onto the yoga mat!
We regularly teach at properties in downtown Charleston, on Folly Beach, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, Kiawah Island, Seabrook Island, and throughout the greater Charleston area.
If you're unsure whether your rental property is a good fit, we're happy to help assess the space and recommend the best option for your group.
-
Yes! We regularly teach private yoga sessions on both Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island.
Because these are private island communities, participants must be staying on the island or have access through a property owner, vacation rental, or resort reservation for us to teach there.
Kiawah and Seabrook are wonderful options for groups seeking a quieter, more secluded setting and are especially popular for family vacations, retreats, wedding weekends, and private group gatherings.

Weather-Related Concerns
-
Community Beach Yoga Classes
Our community beach yoga classes are subject to the unpredictability of Mother Nature, and there may be times when we need to relocate or cancel class due to weather conditions.
Weather updates are typically posted on our social media channels as soon as a decision is made. Charleston weather can change quickly, but we'll always do our best to keep everyone informed and get back on the beach as soon as possible!
Private Groups
Charleston weather can change quickly, and we monitor conditions closely leading up to your session.
If weather becomes a concern, we'll communicate with you and discuss available options, which may include adjusting the location, modifying the schedule, moving to a covered area, or utilizing a suitable indoor space when available.
With years of experience teaching outdoor yoga throughout Charleston, we strive to create the best possible experience and bring the zen and fun wherever we land.
-
If rainfall occurs during the session, in most cases, we'll continue if you choose to stay.
However, we must discontinue the class at the first sign of lightning for safety reasons.

Policies
-
We ask if this is your first time to please sign our waiver form. Feel free to let us know if you have any questions at all!
-
Cell Phones
Please do not talk on your cell phone during class. If you accidentally leave your phone on and it rings during class, please don’t stress. It happens to the best of us.
This is not a rule, but we suggest turning the notifications on your smartwatch off. It doesn’t distract us, but it definitely distracts you.
Dogs
We're totally pup-cited to have your furry friends join our beach yoga classes.
We love it when dogs come to yoga; just please make sure you check Folly Beach rules, as there are times of the year when they are not allowed.
Just a gentle reminder to be mindful of others around you. We know your dog is basically a fluffy love guru, but not everyone might be ready for a surprise fur cuddle.
Feel free to bring them along, but let's try to keep them on your towel or their own designated chill spot.
-
IAbsolutely! We welcome children at our community yoga classes and private yoga sessions.
Yoga can be a wonderful way for children to explore movement, mindfulness, confidence, and relaxation in a fun and supportive environment. We understand that younger children may participate differently than adults, and that's perfectly okay.
For community classes, we ask that parents with younger children set up toward the side of the group rather than in the center. This helps create a comfortable experience for everyone while still allowing families to enjoy practicing together.
Many of our private yoga sessions include children, teens, parents, and grandparents, making yoga a wonderful activity for multi-generational groups and family vacations.tem description
